MG takes its name from the initials of Morris Garages, the factory and car workshop of William Morris, in which Cecil Kimber, founder of MG, was general manager. Kimber began modifying bodies on existing chassis, and equipped motors with sports features to sell at a better price, which defined their models from the beginning.
1945. October, they present the first MG after the Second World War. It was the famous Midget TC.
Actually it was the TB of the pre-war, with a more spacious body and a few other improvements; however, it was very successful, especially outside of Great Britain, which had an economic influence on MG's manufacturing policy.

This unit was donated by Mrs. María Olivia Cornero y Latorre in 1975 to Juan Manuel Fangio to be exhibited at the Fangio Museum.
