The "Tractor" helped Casá in his harvest of first and second positions and gradually became the closest relative to "La Galera" of the Emiliozzi. It does not have much aerodynamics, but it is always among the pointers.
In total he won 1 Grand Prix in 1965, 10 races, 2 stages, he achieved 1 sub championships in 1966 and 2 times he was third, in 1965 and 1967.

Eduardo "Tuqui" Casa

If we speak only of his incursion by Road Tourism, we have to go back to 1960, the year in which Juan Manuel Bordeu advised him to buy a car run by him, Perkins and Escutiero among others, who already had many blows when it happened to hands of García Uriburu and Jantus and that was used to look for irons by Manuel Rodríguez, when he attended Uriburu's car. The car was built on the basis of a chassis, suspension, front axle and differential of Ford '46, in the workshop of Rolando Córdoba of Mar del Plata. Driving that car was a calvary for "Tuqui" who started this part of his record on April 16 in Necochea in 1961 with abandonment, the same as in Arrecifes and La Pampa. It was in this race that began his relationship with "Manolo" Rodriguez, his great trainer of always, who after an arduous work of two months, conditioned that car that Tuqui called "The meatball", placing a new engine that allowed the 10th place in Tres Arroyos and then repeat that position in Tandil as the end of the '61 season.
The poor result, made "Manolo" convinced him to make a car like people, an issue that kept him inactive until September 1962 when Rufino made the presentation of "The Tractor" that had a body resolved by Pato and Lozada. In that race, he arrives in 5th place and is 2nd in the next in Tres Arroyos.
Then comes his first triumph in a Sea and Sierras on April 14, 1963, which is a year in which only exhibits as very prominent, the 2nd place in Santa Fe and two 4th places in the "Eusebio Marcilla" and on 9 July.
The 1964 season was disastrous, as it returned 14 times in tow due to engine breakage, although always faithful to its preparer, who had to discard the chassis and make a new one with a sheet from Ercilla's workshop. For the Grand Prix of that year, Ford Motors Argentina offers him a Falcon from the official team. It is for that race that lends his car to Teófilo Bordeu, who returns it overturned.
In the "Two Oceans" of 1965 "Pepe" Renteria stops being his companion and from Hughes, he will be accompanied by Carlos Travers. Everything began to change that year, in which his only abandonment was in Junín, winning La Pampa, even with the old engine. It is decided to work on an F100 engine, to which they add a Mustang box. With these innovations, they run and win in Tres Arroyos. Then comes the triumph in the Grand Prix, a race in which all the drivers wish to register their name.
In 1966 he achieved four wins (San Francisco, Arrecifes, San Nicolás, and Pehuajó), four second places, six third places, among the most outstanding positions, which allows him to get the second place behind his friend Juan Manuel Bordeu, this being his great moment in the TC along with the triumph of the Grand Prize the previous year. Then the revolution of the category left "Tuqui" outdated like so many others, and over time his figure loses prominence in front of the power of the official teams. Anyway, he marked a time in the category and for quite some time, he showed the No. 1 at the doors of the "Tractor". A No. 1 that snatched nothing less than the Emiliozzi brothers.
He was also the proud last winner in the TC on a coupe cut strictly, when on September 3, 1967, on the occasion of the dispute of the Triangle of the West, he beat the very IKA prototypes with Eduardo Copello, Héctor Luis Gradassi, and Gastón Perkins at the wheel.

RUN FOR PLEASURE

Eduardo Casá was one of the prototypes of people of that time, who took to running simply because he liked it. He lived from his field and with his family. I said about it "I run because I like it, sometimes I get criticized because I change the accompaniment of all the races, but I like to run with friends and my car is never broken, so I want a mechanic." The Grand Prize is something else If I had to choose between winning a championship and a Grand Prix, I do not hesitate to choose this one, but it is clear that for me the races are fun and that's why I want to share them with friends, if I were a professional, I would think differently, but I'm not ...  FROM THE ROAD TOURISM BOOK - A TRAPPING HISTORY - VOLUME II

In the street Ituzaingó of the locality of Carapachay, in the Province of Buenos Aires, in the workshop of the brothers Pedro and Manuel Rodriguez, a car was prepared that with the run of the time would gain a deserved fame of indestructible. So much so that he quickly earned the nickname "The Tractor".

It was a Ford 1940 coupe, equipped with a 1946 V8 engine. The measurements of each cylinder were 80.96 mm in diameter by 95.25 mm of stroke. The pistons were "Yucatan" with three compression rings and one ventilated. The crankshaft was originally worked by Juan Carlos Garavaglia. The connecting rods and bearings were imported from the USA. The camshaft was Montal with an elevation of 460 thousandths of an inch. The valves were Ford with 42 mm diameter inlet and 39 mm exhaust, carrying all double spring.
The cylinder covers were built in aluminum by the Barrera brothers in Tigre and had a compression ratio of 8: 1.

The intake manifold was "Lu-Va" manufactured by Vadala Hermanos in Bella Vista and the carburetors were from Ford assisted by two electric pumps and another mechanical one.
The lubrication was a dry sump and the cooling of both the water and the oil was made with "El Rosarino" radiators built by José Pascutti e Hijo. The clutch had a single dry Ford brand and the Ford three-speed gearbox had gears specially made by Picio.

The suspension had thirteen-leaf cross leaf springs and Houdaille type shock absorbers. The steering system and the rear axle were Ford originals, while the braking system was composed of Ford F-500 bells 13 "front and 12" rear.
