Dr. René Favaloro

He was an educator and cardiac surgeon.

Recognized worldwide for developing coronary bypass with a saphenous vein.

He studied medicine at the National University of La Plata

At the end of the decade of the 60 in the clinic of Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

He was a member of the Conadep (National Commission for the Disappearance of Persons)

He conducted television programs dedicated to medicine and wrote books.

In his letter of resignation to the Cleveland Clinic, it is clear that his return to Argentina (after having reached a prominent place in cardiovascular surgery) was due to his eternal commitment to this country. He never lost his roots. He returned to work in teaching, research and medical assistance.

In the mid-70s, he began to organize the Foundation. First with the help of the Sedra, then the construction of the Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Institute.

In it, he wrote 10 commandments that had to be held to the letter, based on the ethics that always accompanied him. The quality of our work, based on the incorporated technology plus the work of the professionals, projected them at the highest level.

He fought tirelessly against the prevailing corruption in medicine.

Before the management of his great friend, Don Luis
Landriscina and by the decision of Liliana Ethel, Juan José, Roberto René and Gustavo Alfredo, nephews of Dr. Favaloro, since April 13, 2019, he joined the heritage of the Fangio Foundation.

The 505 is a passenger car segment D produced by Peugeot from 1979 to 1991 in Sochaux, France.

Outside Europe, 505 was later manufactured in China, Chile, Australia, India, New Zealand, and Argentina.

In our country, the 505 was manufactured by the Sevel Argentina company (agreement between Fiat and Peugeot) from 1981 to 1995, at the El Palomar plant, being the representative of the luxury range between both brands.
