LL | Ferrari 250 LM (réplica)
It is a replica made in Argentina (2009 - 2017)
Between 1963 and 1965, Ferrari built 32 units of this model. His background is the 250 P (winner of Le Mans 1963 driven by Lorenzo Bandini and Ludovico Scarfiotti, carrying the No. 21 (Chassis No. 814) and the 275 P (winner of Le Mans 64 with Jean Guichet and Nino Vaccarella, carrying the Nro 20 chassis No. 816).
The 250 LM, chassis No. 5893 with No. 21 at the command of Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory won Le Mans in 1965 (the last time Ferrari wins this test), then defeated by the Ford GT40 and the Porsche 917.
After the 1961 Ferrari brand established a dividing line in the manufacture of its sports cars prototypes with the creation of the Dino 246 P and the Ferrari 248 SP, Ferrari engineers designed the 250 P to compete and win the World Championship of Brands of 1963.
For 1964, Ferrari designs the 250 LM, based on the prototype 250 P and putting roof to configure it as a two-seat berlinetta, therefore like this one, the 250 ML has a tubular chassis, which was assembled from the second vehicle built, an engine of 3,285.72 cubic centimeters V12 at 60 degrees atmospheric, developed 320 hp and had six carburetors Weber 38 DCN or 40 DCN double body and mounted a gearbox with 4 or 5 changes plus reverse placed behind the axle rear. The suspensions in both axes are independent, with double triangle "chicken bone", coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers, with rack and disc brakes on all four wheels, the rear ones located at the output of the transmission arms.
The bodywork, designed by Pininfarina, was built in the workshops of Scaglietti and consisted of a two-seat berlinetta, two fuel tanks mounted on the sides of the engine between the passenger compartment and the passage of the wheels, spare wheel on the back, capo rear that was completely disassembled by turning upwards from the upper edge of the passenger compartment and trunk where a small travel suitcase could be stored, to meet the requirements of the FIA.
This replica is that of 1965, with the typical advertising of the Cavallino that appeared later in other models of Maranello.
The chassis is tubular and the fiber body, respecting the measurements of the original car designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti. 4.09 in length, 1.70 in width and 1.15 m in height. Red is the Corsican rosso used by Ferraris.
The engine is an Alfa Romeo V6 of 3.0 liters keeping the original box of 5 gears a model 164
Aluminum rudge rims with central nut and disc brakes on all four wheels.
The weight is around 900 kgs.
